Dr. Kathryn Brown began her dental career as a child, extracting the loose teeth of her younger sister. Since then, Dr. Kathryn has earned an extensive formal education and training, including a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Detroit-Mercy (2007), an additional bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Michigan (2011), and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry (2015). While pursuing her degrees, Dr. Kathryn worked at general dentistry practices and a pediatric practice as a dental assistant and dental hygienist. Upon earning her DDS, Dr. Kathryn completed a general practice residency at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital to develop and refine more advanced dentistry, and work with medically compromised and special needs patients. She has a passion for working with children and patients with special needs and enjoys the artistic side of restorative dentistry. Dr. Kathryn has practiced dentistry as an associate dentist in Manchester, Stockbridge, and Dexter, Michigan, and is happy to make her permanent home at Frankenmuth Smiles to care for the greater Frankenmuth community. Dr. Kathryn is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Saginaw Valley District Dental Society, and Academy of General Dentistry.
