Dr Dhara Shah

Dr. Dhara Shah is a graduate of the New Jersey Dental School, now known as Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. During dental school, she was involved in doing research in the department of restorative dentistry and oral biology. Besides mentoring her fellow juniors, she volunteered in community outreach programs such as Give Kids a Smile and Special Olympics. After completing a general practice residency at Montefiore, Dr. Shah worked at private practice in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Maryland before moving back to her home town in New Jersey. Her residency and private practice opportunities have greatly expanded her experience in treating patients of all ages and extending her knowledge to the community. She continues to focus on staying up to date with technologies and techniques through continuing education courses for the delivery of quality dental care. Being a huge philosopher of “prevention is better than cure,” Dr. Shah always educates and encourages her patients to practice good oral care. Recognizing that each patient is a unique individual, who has placed a great deal of trust in her, Dr. Shah is dedicated to building and valuing each patient relationship. She is passionate about general dental awareness and believes that patients should not only receive the best treatment possible, but that they must also be educated on how to take good care of their oral health. Dr. Shah, her husband, and two kids reside in Somerset, NJ. In her spare time, Dr. Shah enjoys spending time with her family, exploring new places and trying new foods.
