Dr. Sally Young has always enjoyed taking care of children. From her early days of babysitting in her hometown of Fort Valley, Georgia, she knew she wanted to pursue a career that would enable her to do that. Having set her sights on healthcare, she earned a degree in biology from Wesleyan College and was accepted to the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry, where she received her doctorate in dentistry in 1984. Dr. Young fulfilled the requirements for being a pediatric dental specialist at MCG in 1986 then joined Dr. Bray in practice in Statesboro. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentists. At home, Dr. Young enjoys cooking, sewing, and taking care of her family, including a growing number of grandchildren. She is a fan of Georgia Southern football and is an active member of Trinity Presbyterian Church where she has taught Toddlers and Twos in Sunday School for many years. Dr. Young strives to care for young patients in a way that is encouraging, friendly, and fun.
