Dr. Flerra graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 1993 with a Bachelor’s degree in Geology. He also graduated from the LSU Dental Laboratory Technology program in 1997 with an associate degree in Dental Laboratory Technology. Additionally, he has graduated from the LSU School of Dentistry with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree in 2001. He did graduate with the highest-grade point average in his class. Dr. Flerra is a member of the OKU National Dental Honor Society, as well as an International Dental Honor Society that only consists of dentists who graduated with the highest GPA in their class. He is also a member of the C. Edmund Kells Dental Honor Society. In our community, Dr. Flerra recently served as the President of the Iredell County Dental Society. He is a member of the Foothills Dental Continuum, which is a division of the Seattle Study Club. Dr. Flerra is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. He has completed a comprehensive postgraduate training program in the placement and restoration of dental implants at the Hands On Training Institute in London, Ontario.
