Dr JP van Zyl is one of the leading clinical directors at our practice, where they head a multidisciplinary team of seven dentists. His focus lies at the forefront of surgical and cosmetic dentistry, where his passion for precision and patient care shines. Assisting patients with all specific dental needs, but focusing on full mouth rehabilitation, full arch implant surgeries/restorations by giving back what the patient has lost through the years. Dr van Zyl earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree in 2014 from the Medical University of South Africa. After two impactful years in the Eastern Cape Department of Health, he transitioned into private practice in 2016. A lifelong learner, Dr van Zyl has pursued advanced training in implant and surgical dentistry, completing two postgraduate diplomas: Implantology (2019) and Minor Oral Surgery (2022), both from the University of the Western Cape. He is also an active member of the International Team for Implantology (ITI), SAAAD and the Eastern Cape Study Group, where he remains at the cutting edge of global dental innovation. Beyond the clinic, Dr van Zyl is a proud husband and father of 2 beautiful children. In his spare time he enjoys the green fairways of golf, the fast pace of padel, and the occasional adventure into the Eastern Cape mountains in search of the elusive kudu bull.
